Fashion Illustration – Floral Dress

Day 3 or 4 in Corel Painter and I am still get the urge to shut it down and work faster in illustrator and photoshop but I kept on going. I find there’s not as many tutorials and tips online as there is for photoshop.

I scanned a few sketches from my sketchbook, traced the pencil and created a vector outline in illustrator. I found a floral Alice + Olivia dress on net-a-porter and digitally painted it in Corel Painter.

I wasn’t trying to achieve a perfect detailed pattern, I took an impressionistic approach, with huge broad strokes of the oil brush for more practice.
